Where do I begin to process changes to the Schedule of Classes?

How do I request a GUC (General University Classroom)?
  • Unapproved Requests: Set the Facility field to GUC_TBS.
  • Approved Requests: Type a request in the Notes/Request field.
    • The request is specific to the Section you are working on.
    • If there is more than one meeting pattern, please specify which meeting pattern the request is for.
Where can I see the availability of a GUC?
How do I add a new course?
  • Use Schedule New Course in myWSU
  • Please refer to the UPKs in myWSU for instructions
    • Main Menu > myWSU Training > Student Records > Schedule Builder > SR42 Schedule New Course
Why aren't the Instructors showing on the list of available Instructors?
  • Is the section combined (crosslisted/conjoint) with another section(s)?
    • All subjects within a combined course need to be listed for the Instructor.
  • Is the subject listed for the Instructor on the Instructor/Advisor Table?
  • Has the Instructor been added to the Instructor/Advisor Table?

How do I cancel a section?
  • Change the Enrollment Limit and Waitlist Capacity fields to zero.
  • Include a note in the Notes/Request field that the section is being cancelled.
Why are my Sections in Tentative Status?

Sections do not appear on the Schedule of Classes under the following circumstances:

  • Section is Unapproved and in Tentative Status.
    • The section needs to be approved by the Department Scheduler which sends it for review to the Campus Scheduler.
    • The Campus Scheduler will review and change the status to Active, or
    • The Campus Scheduler will include a comment in the Comments box and send an email back to the Department Scheduler for review.
  • Section is Approved, in Tentative Status and the facility is listed as GUC TBS.
    • The section is being reviewed by the Campus Scheduler.
    • The Campus Scheduler will assign a classroom if one is available and change the status to Active, or
    • The Campus Scheduler will provide a list of options in the Comments box and send an email back to the Department Scheduler for review.
  • Section is Approved, in Tentative Status and the facility is listed as something other than GUC TBS.
    • The section is being reviewed by the Campus Scheduler.

Sections will appear on the Schedule of Classes once they are Approved and in Active Status.

  • Please review the information in the Comments Tab.
    • The most recent information is at the top.
    • Requests that show “-Verified by” are pending unless another request is submitted or the request has been completed.
    • Requests that are completed will be initialed and dated by a Campus Scheduler.
Why aren't the changes I submitted in myWSU showing on the RONet Schedule of Classes?
  • Changes can take up to 90 minutes to appear on the RONet Schedule of Classes.
  • Make sure the course is in Active Status.
